A living fossil and the largest freshwater fish in the eastern United States, lake sturgeon are a threatened species with highly restricted, heavily regulated harvest seasons in the few states that permit them. These ancient fish can live over 100 years and exceed 200 pounds, making any encounter with one an unforgettable experience.
