Lake Whitefish
Coregonus clupeaformis
A native deepwater species found in the Great Lakes and deep cold-water lakes across the northern United States and Canada, lake whitefish have become an increasingly popular target for jig and fly anglers. Their delicate flavor makes them excellent table fare, and targeting them through the ice is a growing winter tradition.
