Splake
Salvelinus fontinalis x namaycush
A hatchery hybrid between a male brook trout and female lake trout, splake are stocked in select cold, deep lakes across the northern United States and Canada to provide additional trout-fishing opportunities. They combine the aggressive feeding of brook trout with the deep-water adaptability of lake trout.
