White Perch
Morone americana
A popular panfish of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, white perch are abundant in coastal estuaries, tidal rivers, and brackish bays from Nova Scotia to the Carolinas, with inland populations established in lakes across New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. They school aggressively, bite readily, and provide excellent table fare that rivals yellow perch.
